Due to the settlements of Germans of the 18th century the majority of its population is of German nationality: today about 1900 people live here. Its Baroque church was designed by Jakab Fellner, the statue of Nepomuki St. John is a historic monument, as well as the Forester's lodge of Betlehempuszta with its outbuildings.

Durch die deutsche Besiedlung im 18. Jahrhundert ist ein großer Teil der Bevölkerung deutsch. Heute leben hier etwa 1900 Menschen. Die barocke Kirche wurde von Jakab Fellner entworfen, historische Denkmale sind die Statue des Heiligen János Nepomuki, ebenso das zum Ort gehörende bethlehempusztaer Waldhaus und dessen Nebengebäude.

A 18. századi német betelepítések során lakosságának nagy része németajkú lesz: lélekszáma ma 1.900 körüli. Barokk templomát Fellner Jakab tervezte, mûemlék jellegû Nepomuki Szent János szobra, ugyanígy az ide tartozó betlehempusztai erdészház és melléképületei.
